Connections: What part of Puzzled Penguin's thinking do you AGREE with? Challenges: What part of Puzzled Penguin's thinking do you DISAGREE with? CONCEPTS: What key concepts or big ideas does he need to work on? CHANGES: How would you change his thinking and why? What factors affect evaporation and how do the factors affect the rate of evaporation?
Make a claim and support your claim with evidence from your experiment, the articles, and the videos. Be sure to give credit to your sources. Make an observation of your science experiment using the See-Think-Wonder routine to organize your thinking.
Start by stating the purpose of your investigation. Focus on separating your sees from your thinks and wonders Follow the formatting of my example. Claim: What is your new years resolution?
Evidence:How do you plan to achieve this goal? Reasoning: Why did you choose this resolution? After reading the introduction of unit 3, please think about a SENTENCE, PHRASE, and WORD that stuck out to you and your partner.
SENTENCE: Choose a sentence that was meaningful to you and captures the important ideas of the text. PHRASE: Choose a phrase that interested you about the topic. WORD: Choose a word that was POWERFUL or captured your attention. Explain your thinking. What makes you say that? Post the name of group for the bag you received.
Then post what each object is and which Social Scientist you think it represents. What makes you say that? After reading your fiction book, create a headline that summarizes the conflict or problem in the book. Make sure to write the title of your book, the type of conflict and also also explain how you came up with the headline.
Example: Title: "Edward Tulane" Headline- "A Bunny who doesn't show love" Type of Conflict: Character vs. Self We chose this headline becuase... (explain your thinking). Before reading 1.3 in your social studies book. What do you think you know about geographers? (post your response)
